"On the 16th and 17th of November, the “How to Moot” event took place, held by Elsa UCP Porto in collaboration with Elsa Portucalense. Over the two days, we had the opportunity to listen to different speakers who shared with us their experience in Competitions, through language rich in content and accessible to any participant. The importance of being monitored by a Coach and the importance of managing nervousness during preparation for the Moot Court were highlighted. The event was extremely interesting and enlightening, as we had the opportunity to understand the entire structure of this exercise that enables young jurists to improve their argumentation skills and develop legal practice skills, even in the university environment.
I congratulate the two local groups and the speakers involved for the excellent initiative. I hope that the success achieved will encourage the holding of similar events, to encourage young jurists to get involved in the world of Moot Courts."
